Only verified data
shapes the record.

Most systems let any data pollute the intelligence layer. DistroDNA uses a tiered evidence model — only Strong-evidence signals update vendor profiles. Medium and Weak signals are stored and visible, but never distort the record.

Medium Stored, visible, flagged for review

Partial spec match or single-source confirmation. The data is preserved and surfaced in context, but is not factored into vendor rankings until corroborated by Strong evidence.

Partial Logged, awaiting confirmation

Unmatched or low-confidence data. Kept in the raw log for auditing and future matching as the dataset grows. Never silently discarded.
